About Our CEO
Prism District Beauty is unlike any other mainstream natural hair company because Deffanie, the creator and founder, knows what it’s like to develop a love for your natural kinks, coils, and curls over time.
Natural hair has been an integral part of Deffanie’s life since she was 13. Despite growing up in a small rural town in Georgia, she pursued a life as an entrepreneur doing what she loved. Eventually, Deffanie started professionally braiding her while creating long-lasting relationships. In 2000, she joined the United States Air Force and helped her comrades with their hair care. When she realized that there weren’t sufficient products to help them with their hair care woes, she decided to create her own.
Within the last 28 years of her career, she’s been able to help a multitude of women regain their confidence and strengthen their hair. Deffanie’s spirit and love for hair care is clearly displayed in each product she sells. You’ll be able to feel the love that she puts into all her products.
